Field trials with Amoravis™ and Axfoundation

Field trials with Amoravis™ and Axfoundation show a 14% higher yield in romaine lettuce

During the summer of 2025, a field trial with romaine lettuce was conducted at Torsåker Farm, Axfoundation’s test and development facility for sustainable food systems. The aim was to investigate how Amoravis™ affects growth, taste, and quality — and to deepen collaboration around more resilient, biologically based cultivation methods for the future.

Method

Seeds were treated with Amoravis™ prior to sowing and cultivated outdoors for 55 days. After harvest, the plants were analyzed for weight, taste, and nutritional content.

Results

  • 🌱 +14% higher yield compared to untreated plants
  • Improved taste, confirmed through blind testing by a sensory-trained panel
  • Amoravis™ demonstrates a value return of approximately 245 times the investment

In addition to these results, further analyses are underway to identify potential differences in the plants’ nutrient composition. We are optimistic and hope to confirm that Amoravis™ can also contribute to increased nutrient levels in crops.

Conclusion

Romaine lettuce responds clearly and positively to Amoravis™ — both in terms of growth and taste. The results demonstrate how Amoravis™ can increase productivity and quality in Swedish vegetable cultivation, while supporting the transition to a more sustainable and biologically driven agriculture.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Axfoundation and to Marit, Maria, and Veronica for an inspiring and rewarding collaboration – and for your commitment to developing the sustainable food systems of the future. We hope to develop and carry out many more projects together soon!
