CASE STUDY: HYDROPONICALLY GROWN BASIL IN FINLAND
In spring 2025, Letavis partnered with one of Finland’s leading greenhouse herb producers to evaluate Amoravis™ in large-scale basil cultivation under hydroponic conditions. The goal was to assess the product’s effects on yield and overall plant performance in a controlled, commercial setting.
While previous small-scale tests had already shown promising effects in greenhouse environments, this pilot represented a step up in scale and offered a chance to study Amoravis™ performance under professional cultivation systems.
Trial setup:
Seeds were treated with Amoravis™ dosed in two different dosages, compared to a water-only control. Plants were grown hydroponically in a standard greenhouse environment, following the producer’s normal cultivation protocol.
Key results:
- Basil plants treated with Amoravis™ showed 13–18% higher fresh weight compared to the control group.
- No negative effects were observed on plant health or root structure; in some cases, roots appeared slightly whiter and more vigorous.
- Shelf life remained unchanged compared to standard production.
We are happy to confirm that in this tightly managed and optimized production environment, Amoravis™ demonstrated a consistent and measurable biological effect.
