ARE WE RIGHT IN TIME?
Yesterday, we got the question if we believe that Letavis – and Amoravis™, our biostimulant – is right in time.
Our short answer: Yes. More than ever.
The longer answer can be found in the EAT – Lancet Commission Report on healthy, sustainable, and just food systems, published a week ago. It paints a clear picture of where global food systems are heading – and what needs to change.
🌍 First, the report shows that food production today exceeds several of the planet’s boundaries. Agriculture alone drives about one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions and most biodiversity loss. If we don’t transform how food is produced, climate targets won’t be met – no matter what happens in other sectors.
🧬 Second, it calls for a transition from industrial input intensification to ecological intensification – farming that relies on biology rather than chemistry. Instead of pushing plants harder with chemical inputs, we must strengthen the natural processes that make them thrive: root soil interactions, microbial life, and nutrient efficiency. – That’s exactly what Amoravis™ was designed for.
👩🌾 And third, the report stresses that transformation must be a just transition. Farmers need to be part of the solution – equipped with innovations that work in practice, not just in theory.
